Dreamer’s World December 31, 2017 – So Long, 2017

I am glad to see 2017 pass into history. Like all years, it has been both good and bad for me. If you follow this blog, you have seen what I am talking about so I won't dwell on every topic here. I am looking forward to 2018 because if the new opportunities that will present themselves to both Hal and myself.
I suppose that the most significant event here was when Hal lost his drivers license after the state of Virginia changed the vision requirements and Hal found himself outside of the acceptable range for driving under any conditions. It is a testament to our relationship and love for each other that this incident didn’t cause a ripple in our life. I quickly notified my job about the chance in the circumstances, and they reassured me that I could alter my schedule as needed to accommodate taking Hal to places he had to go. I am very fortunate to work for a company that treats their employees so well.
Speaking of our relationship, Hal and I will celebrate 18 years together early in January. It doesn’t seem like we have been together that long. Our love is stronger than ever, and still growing each day. I honestly believe that he gets more handsome each day.

We had no incidents other than the driving thing except for moving once again. We did that because of the costs around the DC area. We finally decided that since I work from home that we no longer needed to be close to the city. Because Hal works on the weekends, we rarely go out, and that made our decision easier.
Spartacus is now 16 years old. He has been with Hal and I the longest, and we look forward to another year with him in 2018. He is in good health for a cat of his age, and he is very special to us.
Stevie Nicks is 8 years old. She arrived here when she was around 2 years old and instantly became the diva of the household. She regulates on Hal The Cat, but she defers to Spartacus on most things because of his seniority.
Hal The Cat has been with us for 2 years, and he is now 4 years old. He was the stray that was taken to the animal shelter where we found him. He took a while to adjust to having a home, but now he is content and happy.
Myself, Hal (person) and The Stooges look forward to 2018 and hope that it will be a safe and happy New Year for everyone.
